This is a Roman Catholic School which believes that all religious faiths and cultures can work together in a spirit of mutual understanding and respect.

We positively encourage the knowledge and celebration of all faiths and provide the right setting for young people to make an informed commitment to God. To this extent we are fully ecumenical and welcome pupils from all religious traditions and backgrounds.

There is meaningful prayer, worship and liturgical celebrations in which all pupils and staff are welcome to participate.

We believe that all that happens in our community, the pastoral care, education and community life, has the potential to speak of God's loving care for each and every one of us.

We constantly work at building a community of people who respect each other, who feel a sense of responsibility for each other and who are willing to participate in service to others. The school has a long tradition of service to the local and wider community. Each year, sums of money and materials are raised for many causes including CAFOD, Christian Aid, European and Third World projects.

We believe that the school's religious, spiritual and moral ethos must be lived in the day to day life of the school and constantly appraised in the light of our Mission Statement.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AT ST VINCENT'S

Religious education at St Vincent's is rooted in our whole school community. It addresses all pupils and fully supports their own Christian and other world faith traditions. Classroom teaching is based on the content of the Liverpool Archdiocesan syllabus.
